Bayside Pullover

Pattern: Bayside Pullover
Yarn: 5 skeins Quince and Co. Finch wool in Frost
Needle: US 4

Remember when I started this sweater for a Knit-along a year and a half ago?! Such tiny needles, and so very many stitches for a sweater that is a disappointment. It ended up way to big and kind of floppy and unpleasant, so I dried it a bit to shrink it up, which of course shrunk it a bit unevenly. Sigh.

It’s not awful, it’s just not worth the expense and the many many hours of knitting. I have to remember that I enjoy the process even if the product isn’t so great, but it sure is discouraging.

SONY DSCMaybe I should stop knitting sweaters and stick with accessories and animals? Aside, of course, from the sweater I’m in the middle of now – the lovely Antrorse in lush navy wool.

It does look to big on you but it is a pretty pattern. Perhaps you should give it as a donation somewhere. It would put a smile on some woman’s face and she would certainly feel beautiful in such a lovely sweater.
