Yellow Ice Cream Shirt

Pattern: Ice Cream Dress by Oliver and S
Size: 4T (room to grow into)
Fabric: Bits of Dear Stella, Sprinkles in Multi for the pockets (as seen in the Sorbetto top); 1/4 yard of Dandi Flight by Jay-Cyn Designs for Birch Fabrics (as seen in the Reversible Bird Bag and Baby Carriers); yellow from an old sheet
Time to Complete: 2 or so hours sewing
Favorite parts: Ladybug button, french seams, supersoft yellow
Violet’s favorite parts: Pockets

Another Labor Day weekend project. It took some convincing, but once Violet understood the full potential of pockets, she came around. Next time I sew this lovely pattern, I will not have wobbly topstitching dead center on the front. Despite it’s imperfection, I do love this top.

I believe this is my favorite child’s top of all times – SIMPLY ADORABLE!!!

I’m so glad you both like it, because Violet has *refused* to wear it since. I’m the needy mom, offering it as a choice again and again, but she keeps saying no. 🙁
