Over the long Labor Day weekend, I finished this dress for Violet.
I got the pattern in a discounted bundle of patterns a while back and have been meaning to try it. The directions and measurements are imprecise at best. It has sizing up to 12 years, so I’ll probably end up making it again, despite it not being my favorite pattern. Thankfully, it’s a simple dress, with a gathered front and keyhole opening in the back.
I bought a bunch of the fabric, so you’ll be seeing it again, most likely in a skirt for Violet or for me.
I thought Violet would love it, since it is blue with birds, and she may yet, but not so far. I managed to convince her to try it on and take it out for a spin,
but she has since refused to put it back on. The dangers of sewing for kids, I suppose.
