I finished another Lazy Days Skirt, from the same pattern as the last two skirts for my nieces. I used some old scraps and pieced them together for a fun striped skirt for Violet. I used my serger to sew together the panels, so it was a very quick sew that looks very professional.
The skirts have been good for my crafting morale, as my sweater is taking forever. I’m about at my belly button, and then I’ll have to go back for the sleeves. I’ve come to realize that I am a very slow knitter now that I’m making something adult-sized out of thin yarn.
I also just yesterday cut out all the pieces to sew myself a dress. If you read crafty blogs other than this one (which gets very few readers 🙂 ), you will have seen the latest pattern out from Rae of Made By Rae. The Washi Dress is a scoop-necked dress with a shirred back. I’ll hopefully have mine done by the end of the week if I can steal enough time away from the kids.
